So far we've had a look at questing, running dungeons and killing things and so today we are going to take a look at pet battles! Pet battles are another way of gaining experience to level your character. You can find pets to battle all over Azeroth so this might be something you can do as you are questing, battling the pets as you go, or this might be something you choose to do exclusively, maybe while aiming to get the Safari achievements. Getting Started ![]() To get started you need to find a battle pet trainer. I used the one located near the Orgimmar flight point but there are others in all major cities. It cost around 10 silver to learn. The battle pet trainer will also sell you a uncommon quality battle pet to get you started. He will then give you a series of quests to help you learn how to pet battle. This series of quests is well worth it as it will teach you the following:
Battle Pet Types & Passive Abilities There are ten different pet families (or types) in the game. Each family has it's own special passive ability. It is important to keep these in mind, especially when your pets hit 25 and are fighting other level 25 pets. Pet Battle Achievements There are a lot of Pet Battle Achievements to be had. There are achievements for how many pet battles you do, how many pets you capture, leveling pets, fighting all of the pet tamers available and for fighting other players. Going for the bigger achievements will easily get you the smaller ones. Since finishing my recording for today's video, I began to work on the Kalimdor Safari which requires you to capture every battle pet available in Kalimdor. Because I am a completionist, I will only capture rare quality pets. I have only been doing pet battles as I run around a zone completing quests towards Loremaster. You can check my progress towards earning this achievement here. So far these are the achievements I have earned. That's All Folks I hope this helps!
Bye for now and good luck with all the shinies!
